Battle for the sun is the sixth studio album by Placebo.I'm a little bit disappointed as a big fan of them 'coz comparing to the other albums,this one is not the greatest one in my opinion. the band's style has changed:"We've made a record about choosing life, about choosing to live, about stepping out of the darkness and into the light. Not necessarily turning your back on the darkness because it's there, it's essential; it's a part of who you are, but more about the choice of standing in the sunlight instead" says frontman Brian Molko.

The band worked with the others, such as Tool, Silverchair and Remmy Zero as they did before and on these new album new instruments, such as saxophones and trumpets are utilized, consequently I can say that it's such an experimental album that it deserves to be listened carefully."Kings of Medicine" is my favourite song which is the last one on the playlist.

-The album was made available for streaming on the band's official website between May 29th and May 31st, 2009 as I said on my previous journal entry.
-The album was released as a download, CD, limited edition CD + DVD, LP, and a limited edition box set.
-All tracks were written by Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Forrest, except tracks 2 (written by Molko) and 3 (written by Molko and Olsdal).
